E-invoice checker
Drop an e-invoice: UBL (Peppol BIS Billing 3.0, XRechnung UBL), CII XML (Factur-X, ZUGFeRD, XRechnung CII) or a Factur-X/ZUGFeRD PDF. You'll see which required fields are missing and whether the totals add up.

What this checks
- The mandatory EN 16931 core fields: specification ID, invoice number, dates, type, currency, seller and buyer names and countries, and on each line the item, quantity, price and VAT category.
- The totals: line amounts, net total, VAT total, gross total and amount due must add up (rules BR-CO-10, 13, 15 and 16).
- The common Peppol and XRechnung extras: electronic addresses and the buyer reference.
- For CII files, the Factur-X/ZUGFeRD profile. MINIMUM and BASIC WL carry no invoice lines, so they are not complete EN 16931 invoices; the page tells you when you have one.
- For a PDF, it looks for the attached invoice XML that makes it a Factur-X or ZUGFeRD file. A PDF without one is a plain PDF invoice.
This is a fast first check, not the full official Schematron validation that certified platforms and access points run. A passing result means the basics are right, not that the invoice is certified. It does not check code lists, VAT category rules, allowances and charges in detail, the PDF/A-3 format of a Factur-X file, or that the PDF text matches the XML. Rules: EN 16931, Peppol BIS Billing 3.0, Factur-X (FNFE-MPE), XRechnung (KoSIT).
